ISLAND SHIRE

We strive to grow our crops reusing organic inputs from the farm itself and other local small businesses.  Keeping the energy inputs local benefits the environment here in the Cowichan Valley, and keeps resources close to home.

The Island Shire is 400 meters east of Highway 1, on the north side at 1967 Koksilah--our farm stand has a blue roof.

Populated not by hobbits, but by an Entwife and an Ent–the farmer and the forester--and 96 girls.

Farm Products

Our berries are the best!  No, really, they are.  Taste ours and you'll wonder what it is that you've been getting from California....
Watch for the interactive white and yellow Egg sign–“Fresh Eggs” in yellow means you’re in luck.  “Sorry No Eggs”–bummer, someone got them before you.
Dilly Beans,  Salsa, and various Jams are our specialties--all ingredients from our farm.  OK, not the sugar--we don't grow cane.
“They’re just more chicken-y!” For Those Who Know, these are the best birds for soup.
Used for Fried Chicken or Roasted Bird.  They are a different breed.  Literally.
To reserve a side , you need to make a deposit;  I never raise very many at a time, otherwise there's not enough piggy snacks to go around.   So book early.
